All About Mrs. Randol

Welcome to the West Elementary! I am so happy you are sharing your child with us this year.   I look forward to getting to know you and your family during this school year.   My desire is to establish a  school that is a fun place to come and learn daily, while feeling safe and comfortable.

I grew up in Weatherford, and graduated WHS in 1997.  I attended SWOSU where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I started teaching in 2001.  I did many observations and student teaching in elementary classrooms, but I ended up teaching 7th grade Language Arts and coached basketball at Hefner Middle School in Oklahoma City.  I absolutely loved it.  I taught there for 5 years and then moved to a smaller district.   I then taught 6th and 7th grade Language Arts at the Middle School of Piedmont.  There, I coached softball, basketball, and track.   I taught there for 6 years, and enjoyed my time there as well. I then was able to work as a behavior rehab consultant for a few years which allowed me to be home more often with my children.  I missed teaching, so when my kids started school, I returned to Burcham Elementary as a 1st grade teacher.  It was a wonderful experience, and I learned so much teaching  a new grade level.  (I look forward to having some of my former students in my building this year. )  This is my third year at West, and I absolutely love it here.

I am married to my best friend, Josh.  He is absolutely the funniest person I know, and he always keeps me on my toes.  We have 2 children.  Remi is my oldest, and she is in 3rd grade this year.  She is my sweet, rule following, little girl that loves to day-dream and dance.  She has a kind heart and loves to please.  Ripken, my 7 year old son, is starting 2nd grade this year. He is hilarious.  He loves to make people laugh.  He has a sweet heart, and is a little ornery.  (I am pretty sure he gets that from his Daddy.) We love to play and spend time together, attend church, and hang out with friends.

I am very excited to be leading this terrific school.  I attended West Elementary as a child, and my kids will be going through this school as well.  I am passionate about keeping it the greatest school in the west.  I am excited to meet and serve your family this year.
