I have been happily married for 7 years to my husband, Paul. He works in the oil field as a mechanic. I met him while attending SWOSU. Our family is complete with our dog, Tucker. He’s a rare breed, a Coton de Tulear.
I was raised in Weatherford all my life. I attended school from kindergarten – graduation as an Eagle! After graduation I attended SWOSU and got married in 2010. I graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and did my student teaching in Lookeba. During college I worked a lot, but really enjoyed spending time with my family. I even picked up a new hobby, decorating cookies. After graduation I accepted a position in Watonga where I taught 5th and later 3rd grade. In 2015-2016 I was awarded with district Teacher of the Year in Watonga. After a tough decision to leave, I decided to come back to my “home” to teach. I am beyond blessed to be in this school district. I have really enjoyed coming back to the school system I grew up in. There really is no other place like Weatherford!
When I’m not teaching I enjoy hanging out with my family. I also love to be crafty. You can often find me decorating sugar cookies for a special event or practicing my brush lettering!
